As a zero waste spirits brand, Discarded Spirits Co. wanted to bring their pioneering sustainable purpose to life through an event for London Cocktail Week.

Introducing ‘The World’s Most Rubbish Bar’, an immersive experience designed to reframe how people see that stuff that they would normally throw away.

From the coffee fields of Columbia to the banana groves of the Caribbean, guests were transported through a world of waste, learning how the unwanted can become the unexpected and delicious. From here, world-renowned cocktail bars such as The NoMad, Lyaness and Artesian served unique Discarded creations, each cocktail made using waste from their bar and nearby venues such as cafés.

Everything was made using upcycled materials: the bar was constructed using old pub floorboards, drinks tokens made from old Lyaness cocktail menus and a custom art installation made from bar waste.

The event allowed everyone to see that waste couldn’t just be useful, but beautiful.
